Saturday January 27th, 2018 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M.

Once again, The 28th Annual Oppenheimer Park Dinner was a huge success! Up until January 2016, and for the 26 years prior, members of the Vancouver Film, Television & New Media Industry had hosted a Christmas Dinner at Oppenheimer Park. For the past two years, the Dinner has been held as a Family BBQ and the date has been moved from oppdinner2017 clownthe week before Christmas to the last Saturday of January. The 2017 Event proved to be just as successful as it had been in the years previous. We invited our Neighbours from the Downtown Eastside to join us on Saturday January 28th, as we continued with our 'new tradition’. For the second year in a row instead of marking the occasion of the Holiday’s with a festive dinner, we celebrated the cold, wet winter with a BBQ meal. 3,000 hamburgers & hot dogs, potato salad & cole slaw, along with all the fix’ins were shared with members of the Oppenheimer Park Community. Along with the meal, we entertained our guests with live music & clowns… and especially for the children, there were face painters & balloons as well. Gifts of warm winter accessories along with personal hygiene kits were provided, and the Street Thug Barbers offered hair cuts at no cost to those receiving them. The ongoing support of both the Film Community & the General Public for the Event is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to the Film Unions & Guilds, the Film Support Service Companies, and all those individuals who participated & supported the 28th Annual Oppenheimer Park Dinner. We look forward to seeing everyone come out for the 29th Annual Event, which will be held on Saturday January 27th, 2018… and have them share in the experience of a fantastic day of good food, fun & friendship!
